The will of God

Have you ever stopped to think about what it truly means to enter the kingdom of heaven? In Matthew 7:21-23, Jesus makes it clear that not all who call him "Lord, Lord" will enter the kingdom, but only those who do the will of his Father in heaven.

But what does it mean to do the will of the Father? According to James 2:10, to enter the kingdom of heaven, we must be absolutely perfect and keep the whole law without fail. However, we all know that as humans, we are not capable of achieving this level of perfection on our own. We all fall short and make mistakes.

So, how can we enter the kingdom of heaven? The answer is through faith in Jesus Christ. In John 5:24, Jesus says,

"Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life."
By believing in Jesus and his sacrifice for our sins, we can have eternal life and not be judged for our imperfections.

It's important to note that simply calling ourselves Christians or going to church because it's expected of us is not enough. We must actively seek God daily and strive to live a life of obedience to his commands. As Matthew 7:14 states,

"For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few."
But the good news is that through faith in Jesus Christ, we can find that narrow path and enter the kingdom of heaven.

In conclusion, entering the kingdom of heaven is not about being perfect or earning our way in, but about trusting in Jesus Christ and his sacrifice for our sins. Let us strive to actively seek God daily and live a life of obedience to his commands, knowing that through faith in Jesus, we can have eternal life and enter the kingdom of heaven.
